Safety takes center stage at Proferro’s Safety day

Last week, production leaders from the Proferro foundry once again came together for a Safety day. Following on from last year’s successful event, the focus this year was on strengthening safety awareness within the organization and translating the safety commitments into concrete actions on the work floor.
In recent months, big steps have already been taken to further integrate safety into our daily operations. Initiatives have included targeted training courses, weekly safety meetings, a poster campaign, and the launch of the Golden safety rules. Proferro continues to be an industrial environment where safety risks are inherent to the work. And, for Proferro, every workplace accident is one too many. Therefore, safety requires the constant attention and vigilance of all colleagues, with production leaders, in particular, playing a key role.
Together for safety
Our Safety day began with a review of the safety results from the past few months. Following this, production leaders from each department participated in a workshop that covered various safety topics. In addition, an external safety coach shared his findings regarding forklift truck traffic at Proferro, and the Golden safety rules were further clarified. Throughout the afternoon, a safety game by the workplace accident insurer was held, along with guidance on how to correctly perform first aid.
With this Safety day, Proferro once again underscored the importance of safety as a shared responsibility. Together, we will continue to build a safe and healthy work environment.
