Vertical integration at our production plant

Proferro’s production plant is jointly located on one company site alongside our biggest customer, Picanol. This site is in Ieper (Belgium), where our roots lie. Such an approach offers the major advantage of being able to work on one company site based on the concept of vertical integration, which means we can take efficiency, speed, and flexibility to the next level.
Vertical integration ensures we can fulfill the entire production process from scrap to fully finished assembly-ready parts for Picanol’s weaving machines on one company site.
By centralizing all our processes on a single site, we are able to:
- Reduce costs thanks to shorter internal logistics chains.
- Minimize transport emissions, which helps in terms of our sustainability goals.
- Accelerate transitions between design, production, and delivery.
