Proferro intensifies its safety efforts with a safety day for its mechanical finishing departments

Earlier this week, Proferro organized its first safety day for all managers of its mechanical finishing departments.

“Following the example of our safety efforts in the foundry, we also wanted to join forces with the managers of our mechanical finishing departments so we can continue to build on creating an even safer working environment. This is because we strongly believe that every accident at work is one too many,” explains Cathy Defoor (VP Proferro).

The aim is to integrate safety into our daily thinking and actions in a more structured way. This will involve more frequent safety meetings, periodic safety audits, and a poster campaign. The safety day was a packed day in which the focus was entirely on safety. The current safety figures were examined, the role of each manager was discussed in detail during various workshops, and the safety ambassadors for the mechanical finishing departments at Proferro were presented to those who attended the event.

Such an initiative underlines Proferro’s ambition to create an even safer working environment for every employee.
